JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Choralaires have been performing music since 1955.

On January 25th and 26th, the long-tenured all male chorus will be presenting “A World of Music”. Choralaire member Roger Caine says the concert will feature a wide variety of music from around the globe.

Caine says the concert will also feature the Jamestown Boys Choir as they have done for the last several years. Choralaire member Alden Kollman says several members of the group got their singing start in the Boys Choir.

Kollman says this year’s concert will also be used to recognized longtime Choralaires member Larry Hoffman, who is in the group for his 60th year as a baritone. Hoffman started in 1958 and the choir started in 1955.

Caine says they will be performing the Navy Hymn featuring Larry on the solo.

The Choralaires are directed by Pam Burkhardt and are accompanied by Richard Walentine. The Jamestown Boys Choir is directed by Meredith Meidinger.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for students. They can be purchased from any Boy’s Choir member, Jamestown Choralaires member, Looysen I Care or at the door. Each concert will be at the Jamestown High School and start at 7:30 PM.
