MEDINA, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Junior Guard Carson Hovelson had 19 points, including four 3-pointers to help the Raiders of Maple Valley beat the Thunder of Medina/Pingree/Buchanan Tuesday night by 14 points. MV improves to 8-9 overall, MPB drops to 0-16 overall.
The Thunder led 19-17 at the break, but Hovelson scored 10 of his teams 26 points to help the Raiders take the lead 38-25 at the end of the third quarter. Adam Punton added 12 and Jacob Johnson had 10. For MPB, Junior Guard Mike Thomas led his team with 17 points.
The next Thunder Country 98.3 FM and newsdakota.com game of the week will be in Pingree on Thursday, February 14th as MPB will host Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier, pregame about 7pm.
