JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The James River Valley Library System is prepared to host their Centennial Celebration of the Alfred Dickey Library February 19th through the 22nd.
After renovating everything from the roof to new lighting, conference room, Children’s space, carpeting, and historic front desk, Library Director Joe Rector says it sets the historic library up for the next 100 years.

Rector says after more than $600,000 in renovations and restoration, he says they’ll celebrate not only the library and its history, but two of the men who helped bring the library into existence.

Rector says they have displays coming that honor Alfred Dickey and Alfred E. Dickey courtesy of the Dickey family.
Development Director Bill Kennedy says the Friends of the James River Valley Library System (JRVLS) is helping with the activities of the Centennial Celebration at the library.
