JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A search for a missing woman was called off Friday afternoon after she was found deceased.
The Jamestown Police Department and Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office contacted local media to locate 58 year-old Ramie Rath. Sgt. Tyler Loven with the Jamestown Police Department reported that authorities were contacted to check on her well-being.
Her last known contact was February 14th at 3 AM. Her vehicle was located around the Kensal area. Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser says Rath’s body was found roughly 5 miles south of Kensal.

The media was later notified Friday afternoon that the search had been called off. Sheriff Kaiser says Police & Sheriff’s Deputies had been notified Thursday of her disappearance. He says a deputy located the vehicle Thursday night and found tracks that led officials to to believe that Rath may have been picked up by a local farmer earlier that day. Kaiser says help from the community assisted patrols searching for Rath.

Kaiser says they discovered the body after they sent out crews to retrieve the vehicle Rath had left behind.
