DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Junior Hannah Haley had 19 points and Sophomore Dani Bjerke added 15 for the Rockets but it wasn’t enough as the Dragons of Dunseith won 62-50 in the last game Monday during the opening day of the 2019 Region 4 Class B Girls basketball tourney at the Devils Lake Sports Center. D8 #2 Dunseith improves to 15-6 overall, D7 #3 NRS ends their season at 10-13 overall.
Senior Allison Dockter scored the first two points of the game but it was all Dragons after that, they led 35-22 at halftime. Freshman Rozalind Strong led Dunseith with 21 points, Senior Lexius Davis added 14, including four 3-pointers, and Senior Caitlyn Davis added 10 points. The Dragons put up a total of eight 3-pointers.
