N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The second year of a project between the Stutsman County Wildlife Federation, Game and Fish Department and Jamestown Pheasants Forever is in full bloom this year.

Past President of SCWF Dave Brandt stated that the 280 acres of land located between Medina and Woodworth had been purchased back in the 1970’s and needed to be re-enrolled in the Conservation Reserve Program.

The Wildlife Federation teamed up with the North Dakota Game and Fish Department and Jamestown Chapter of Pheasants Forever to plant shrubbery and pollinate the land. Brandt pointed out that the land was public access and available to everyone.

Honey bees were relocated to the area to assist in pollination and local kids and Boy Scouts helped in planting the seeds for over 3,000 shrubs on the plot.
