to flooding, Nickeus Park in Jamestown is closed until further notice. With the higher releases coming from Jamestown Dam, the park is losing ground, and being overtaken by water.

Stutsman County Road 42 is now closed North of Jamestown because the Buchanan Bridge over Jamestown Reservoir is underwater. The road is closed form N.D. Highway 20, on the East side, to U.S. Highway 281, on the West side.

Some city road and parking restrictions are being put in place in lieu of the high rates of release from the Jamestown and Pipestem Dams. Due to the lack of the need for levee construction this year, the elevated water levels will cover some of the roads near the James River North of the confluence of the James and Pipestem.

3rd Street NW, near the Anne Carlson Center already has width restrictions in place, and beginning today and tomorrow, additional parking and road width restrictions will be set forth near the Nickeus Park area on 11th and 10th Streets and on 1st Avenue NW on the ‘river’ side of those streets.
