teams of disaster recovery experts from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services met with local officials in Valley City and Barnes County to start the process of Preliminary Damage Assessments (PDA) to determine the extent of this year’s flood damages.

FEMA representative Ron Roth says the assessment should be completed by this week and submitted to Governor Jack Dalrymple.

State and federal teams are looking at roads, bridges, culverts and other county and city infrastructure damaged in spring flooding.

People whose homes have been impacted by recent flooding may call the North Dakota Flood Damage Hotline at 1-877-212-0316 to report their damages.
