15 years as president of the North Dakota Farmers Union, Robert Carlson says he will NOT be seeking re-election.

Carlson says it’s a good time to do something else. He says he’s seen a lot of changes in his 15 years heading the farm group – the biggest being the condition of the farm economy.

Carlson says the challenge will be to come up with a good farm bill – at a time where budgets are tight. He says he has some irons in the fire – but doesn’t want to talk about them just yet.
