Jamestown Stutsman Development Corporation held their annual meeting last week and were able to accomplish some tasks during the last 12 months, such as recruiting Eldermark, a Minneapolis based IT company that currently has 10 employees and has outgrown their current location in the city.

The JSDC Board of Directors met on Monday and discussed a four year old program called “Flex Pace” which is available through the Bank of North Dakota. The program is a loan based system to help companies who want to move to the area.

JSDC’s CEO Connie Ova says that five projects using Flex Pace have already been completed, and the Board of Directors decided to change the language in their bylaws to include the program, as suggested by attorneys for JSDC and the city of Jamestown.

However, this can only be done through the city and Stutsman County approval, and Ova says that the proposal will be heard at the next meetings of the two entities.
