N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The LaMoure Post 19 started their series of three games on three nights Tuesday as they hosted Ellendale at Townsend Field in LaMoure, and picked up a convincing 8-1 victory.

Jared Meiklejohn picked up the win for Post 19 (3-5 Section 2), as he lasted all seven innings, allowing three hits, and striking out four. Jared also had two hits, one of them a double, and scored twice.

Josh Morrisey took the loss for Ellendale (2-6 Section 2), lasting just an inning and two-thirds; with four unearned runs, four hits, and the same number of walks. Tanner White was the only player to score for Ellendale.

Post 19 plays at Edgeley on Wednesday night, and hosts Oakes on Thursday night before starting the 2011 Section 2 Tournament in Ellendale on July 21.
