City, N.D. –A new voice spoke out over the issue surrounding the Dean Ross investigation, reprimand and paid leave during the city commission meeting on Monday.

Laurelle Mehus told the city commission that the issue has damaged the reputation of Ross and Cameron and the city needs to resolve the issue soon or it will continue to tear apart the city.

In other city action, the commission voted against a motion to approve the employment of Sarah Herman to provide legal advice and representation regarding personnel matters on a 3 to one vote with Jon Wagar being the lone vote to the move.

The commission also voted 3 to one to continue the paid administrative leave of Dean Ross indefinitely pending the conclusion of the B-C-I investigation of Ross.

Commissioner Matt Pedersen voted nay, saying that a date should be set for the investigation time line and paid administrative leave of Ross.
