N.D.(NewsDakota.com)…The Grand Forks bats were as hot as the weather Tuesday night at Jack Brown Stadium, as the Royals picked up a legion baseball sweep over Jamestown 14-3, and 12-3. Post 14 slips to 9-20-1 over-all, and 1-13 in the state wide standings. Jamestown will get right back on the field on Wednesday with a trip to Surrey to face Minot in a doubleheader. Due to flooding in the Magic City, the games are being played in Surrey.

The Royals scored five times in the top of the second, and never looked back. Grand Forks ripped 15 hits in the victory. Post 14 was held to six hits, with Danny Fischer getting three of those. Jake Stilwell had a pair of hits, and two RBI. Brady Anderson took the loss.

The Royals broke it open with five runs in the top of the fourth, and coasted to the sweep. Grand Forks hammered out 17 hits, and limited Jamestown to seven. Riley Schafer had two hits and an RBI. Stilwell had a hit, two walks and an RBI. Anderson also laced a double. Jordan Lynch took the loss.
