ND(NewsDakota.com)…Roughrider Rodeo competition was held in Wishek over the weekend, and some area talent had success.

In mixed team roping, Greg Carlson of Jamestown and Dale Carlson of Sawyer teamed up for first place. Greg also placed second in calf roping. Cody Perbix of Harvey won the bareback event.

Jade Boote of Binford took fifth in Breakaway, Keenan Kvamme came in fifth in Jr Breakaway, Stephanie Volk of Linton placed third in Jr. Barrel Race, wiht Chyanne Clark of Carrington taking fifth, and Kallie Jo Scherbenske of Lehr coming away in sixth place.

Waylan Davis of Sheyenne won the Novice Barrel Race, and Brianna Klein of Linton came in third. Ben Grann of Sheyenne captured second place in Steer Wrestling, and Bobbi Grann tied for fifth in Goat Tying. Lacy Grann of Sheyenne came in second in Jr. Goat Tying, Kylie Svamme of Carrington was fourth and Chyanne Clark of Carrington took fifth place.

Brandon Knutson of Marion and Mitch Smith of Valley City came in second in team roping, Chris Ehlers of Grace City won the Bull Riding event, and Dan Pahl of Edgeley came in third.

Next Roughrider Rodeo events are set for July 23rd and 24th in Towner.
