N.D.- The 2011 North Dakota Class B Section Two American Legion Baseball Tournament started play on Wednesday in Ellendale, and after the first day, the five time defending champions are sitting pretty, and the #1 and #2 seeds will be playing to keep their seasons alive on Thursday.

In the first game, the champs from LaMoure easily took care of Ellendale 14-4 in five innings in a game that saw Ellendale commit five errors. Game two went the way of Lisbon, as they moved past Oakes 4-1, with Oakes stranding runners on base every inning. In the third game, LaMoure took down the #1 seed from Wishek 7-4 in 10 innings. Zach Stemen threw all 10 innings for the LaMoure victory. In the final contest of the day, Lisbon moved past Edgeley by a 7-3 final.

Day two of the tournament starts with two elimination games; the first putting Oakes against Wishek at 2:30, and the second featuring Edgeley and Ellendale at 5 p.m. The lone semifinal game features LaMoure and Lisbon at 7:30. Coverage of the tournament can be found on Q101.1 FM and NewsDakota.com, with broadcasts starting approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled first pitch of each game.
