N.D.- The Lisbon American Legion team has Friday off at the Section 2 American Legion tournament, and will await either LaMoure, Wishek or Edgeley for the right to go to Bottineau and the state tournament.

Day two action started with Oakes putting up quite the fight against the number seed from Wishek, but Wishek held on for a 4-3 victory. The second game saw Ellendale’s season come to an end, as Edgeley stayed alive, winning 12-4. The final game between the two teams who had not lost, Lisbon and LaMoure, saw Lisbon roll over the five time defending champions 15-5.

Friday’s action starts at 5 p.m., with Wishek and Edgeley, the original number one and two seeds, playing a loser-out contest, with the winner taking on LaMoure at 7:30, in another loser-out game.

Lisbon next plays Saturday at 5:30 against whomever is left standing after Friday. If Lisbon wins the contest, they go to Bottineau. If the Friday team wins, a winner-take-all game is set for 7:30.
