N.D.(NewsDakota.com)…For the first time ever, the Big Dog Country 95.5 Golf Tournament was rained out on Friday at Hillcrest Golf Course.

The tournament field was full, with 36 teams competing. Some teams managed to play six holes, but most were able to get in five before the severe storms rolled through. This forced tournament officials to invent a way to hand out the team champions, and the specific hole prize winners. It was decided that every team could only turn in their score for five holes of play.

Scores were tallied in the scratch division, with four teams tied for first with six under scores. The four teams were dropped in a basket with three teams to be drawn out to determine who would finish, first, second and third. Luck of the draw had the team of Ron Hemmer, Tim Ottmer, John Lillejord, and Andy Lillejord come away with first place, and each will recieve $75 to redeem at the proshop.

In the handicap division, all teams were dropped in a hat, with a chance to finish first, second or third. The team of Matt Roman, Jared Johnson, Andrew Stoen and Steve Hirchert had their names pulled for first place, and each will recieve $60 to spend at the pro shop.

The winners for the specific hole prizes were also drawn at random.
