Mark McKenzie(NewsDakota.com)…The Blue Jay boys tennis teamed took part in a round robin tournament in Minot on Saturday, and the doubles team of Danny Fischer and Riley Schafer placed third. Next action is set for Thursday, with a non-conference duel at Wahpeton.

The Blue Jay boys soccer team hosted the East/West Crossover Tournament on Saturday, as teams from around the state converged on Jamestown to play a dozen games. The Jays suffered a couple of defeats at the hands of Grand Forks Schools.

Red River defeated Jamestown 9-0, outshooting the Jays 24-4. David Hanson made 15 saves. Central took down the Jays 1-0, outshooting Jamestown 10-3. Hanson made another nine saves.

Next up for Jamestown is it’s WDA opener at Bismarck on Thursday.
