Mark McKenzie(NewsDakota.com)…A youthful 2011 Jimmie womens volleyball team opened up the 2011 season with a three games to none win over Waldorf, Minnesota on Saturday, with the match played in Valley City.

Jamestown posted scores of 25-20, 25-20, and 27-25. Katie Zent had 10 kills and Jada Meiklejohn led the way with 20 assists.

Next up is a trip to Orange City, Iowa for the Red Raider Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The Jimmies will face some of the best teams in the country, beginning with 12th ranked Doane, Nebraska on Friday, followed by Concordia University.

Saturday, Jamestown will battle Hasings, Nebraska, and 20th ranked Dordt, Iowa.
