CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–The VCSU Viking volleyball team blistered Waldorf College 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-21) Saturday in the opener of the 2011 season.

Jill Noeske (Jr., Valley City, ND), back with the team after transferring away, led the Viking attack with 13 kills, and hit .407 for the match.  Rebeka DePesa (Sr., Phoenix, AZ) added 11 kills.

The Vikings hit over .200 as a team, and used only two aces in the win.  They have four matches this weekend in a meet at Northwestern College in Orange City, IA.
