CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–The Hi-Liner volleyball and tennis teams will be in action today.

The volleyball team starts non-tournament competition with a match at Carrington.  The Cardinals will be one of the favorites in the District 7 Class “B” race this season.

Last year, Valley City led 2-0 and had an 11-3 lead in the third set, but lost the match to Carrington in Valley City.

The match will be broadcast on KOVC-AM 1490 and KDAK-AM 1600 tonight, with prematch coverage beginning at 7:15 p.m.

The Hi-Liner tennis team travels to Wahpeton, still in search of their first win.  They are 0-3 after Eastern Dakota Conference (EDC) losses to Grand Forks Central and Red River, and a non-league loss to Dickinson this past weekend.

The Hi-Liner girls golf team is back in action tomorrow, travelling to Rose Creek in Fargo for an EDC meet.
