Mark McKenzie(NewsDakota.com)…Jamestown is hosting the Jimmie Open golf meet Wednesday at Hillcrest Golf Course, with mens and womens teams from around the state competing.

Besides the Jimmies, other teams taking part include Valley City State, Minot State, Dickinson State, Bismarck State, and Bismarck United Tribes. Action will get underway at noon.

Tyler Borman takes over as the new head coach for Jimmie mens and womens golf for the 2011-12 season. Borman will also be the assistant mens basketball coach, under Matt Murken. He is a native of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
