Mark McKenzie(NewsDakota.com)…The first day of September brings a very busy day for Blue Jay athletics.

Five sporting events will be taking place, including the season opener for the Blue Jay girls swimming and diving team, with a trip to the capitol city to battle Bismarck Century in  a WDA duel.

The Blue Jay boys and girls cross country teams will take part in the West Fargo Invite, the Jays boys tennis team will also duel Bismarck Century, starting at 5:00 p.m. at Bolinger Tennis Courts.

In West Region boys soccer, Jamestown hosts Mandan at 7:00 p.m. at Rotary Soccer Field on the campus of Jamestown High School, and the Blue Jay girls golf team heads to Dickinson for a WDA Meet at Heart River Golf Course.
