CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–The Hi-Liner girls golf team found tough sledding at the Fargo South Invitational yesterday at Rose Creek.

Valley City again finished ninth, but this time just 10 shots ahead of Fargo Shanley, as the Hi-Liners turned in a 444.

In their last Eastern Dakota Conference (EDC) meet, the Hi-Liners were 50 shots ahead of Shanley, and only 12 out of sixth.  This time, they finished 60 shots behind sixth-place Wahpeton.

Erika Anderson led the Hi-Liners, as the senior has throughout the year, shooting a 96, tied for 18th overall.  Nicole Spenningsby shot 112 and Sara Gilbertson shot 113.

Fargo Davies won the meet with a 331, 23 ahead of second-place Fargo North.  Senior JoDee Wheeler of Grand Forks Red River was the medalist with a 73.

The Hi-Liners will be at Village Green on next Tuesday.
