Mark McKenzie(NewsDakota.com)…Week two of the football schedule has the Blue Jays hitting the road for the first time this season, with a trip to Grand Forks to battle Red River at Cushman Field.

Each team is coming off a season opening defeat, as the Jays were hammered at Gated Field by Devils Lake 49-8, and the Riders were upset at Williston 19-14. “That one suprised me.” said Blue Jay head coach Bill Cahill,”But you never know what new kids the oil boom has brought to Williston this season.”

Cahill says the team is eager to get back on the field and put game one behind them “I have learned over the years that you are never as good as you think you are, and your never as bad as you think you are. Every Friday gives us another opportunity, and we will approach Red River with that mentality.”

Listen for the broadcast on AM 1400 KQDJ, 97.1 FM, and newsdakota.com with Mark McKenzie and Cory Anderson, starting with the pregame at 6:35 p.m.. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
