CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–VCSU’s Viking mens golf team challenged for second, and came up just a bit short at the Dickinson State Invitational Monday.

After landing just outside of second Sunday, the Vikings finished six back of Dickinson State Monday, with a team 626.  Jamestown College won the meet with a 598.

Taylor Hendrickson (Sr., Barnesville, MN) shot a 74 to back up his Sunday 75, for a 149 total.  Ryan Mehus (Sr., Finley, ND) finished with a 159.

Next action for the Vikings will be at Crossroads Golf Course in Carrington, an event hosted by Jamestown College.  It was moved from Jamestown Country Club due to damage on the course.
