Mark McKenzie(NewsDakota.com)…Jamestown had the home court for womens volleyball over the weekend, and ended up with a split against Black Hills State and South Dakota Tech .

Friday night at Hanson Center, the Jimmies swept the Yellow Jackets three games to none, 25-14, 25-16, and 25-21. Kelsey Deragisch had 17 assits and five digs, Jada Meiklejohn came up with 15 assits, three aces, and four digs, and Heather Brown and Sarah Becker each had eight kills.

Saturday, South Dakota Tech rallied from a two games to one deficit, and knocked off the Jimmies three games to two. Jamestown easily won game one, 25-13, the Rockers took game two, 25-22, the Jimmies recovered to take game three 25-23, but Tech took game four 25-20, and game five 16-14.

Meiklejohn had 26 assits, an ace and 14 digs, Katie Lee had 23 assits, Emilee Schutta finished with 12 kills, and Brown and Katie Zent each had 11.

Jamestown is 10-6 on the season, and next up is rival Valley City at the bubble on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m..
