CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–Area High School students have begun work on a major project that will eventually be a part of Hanna Field.

Students in the Construction Careers class at the Sheyenne Valley Area Career and Technology Center are building two structures that will serve as press boxes for the football field, boxes that will replace the current press box, which is in need of replacing.

The students work from 9-10 a.m. on the project, constructing two 12-by-26 foot boxes, with each box divided into three booths.  The boxes will house game staff, both home and visiting coaches, videographers for each team, and home and visiting radio broadcast booths.

The project is expected to be completed in late fall, and will be in use next season.  The class is supervised by Jason Bowen.
