City, N.D. – One day after the city voted to retain the position, City Administrator Jon Cameron submitted his resignation to the Mayor and the city commission.

Cameron says he felt his decision to do so was in the best interest of the city and his family following the summer long dispute that has divided the city following the Dean Ross reprimand, investigation and retirement of the embattled former police chief this year.

Cameron says he and his wife Joan will move on to other opportunities outside of Valley City. The resignation is effective on November 11.
