N.D.- The Oakes Public School held their regular monthly meeting Tuesday night at the second floor of Oakes High School in the conference room.

Among the topics discussed according to Superintendent Art Conklin was an update on the coach bus, better know as the “taxi” that is used to transport sports teams. Conklin says it was recently returned from Minneapolis after having mechanical issues, but is now back in service.

In addition, the school is just about complete with the almost two year task of completing an update for the policies of the school. An update on the locker and exercise rooms was given, and other than a small issue regarding soil, the project is still on schedule, and the one snow removal bid that was received by the school was accepted.

The November meeting is scheduled for November 8 at 7:30 p.m.
