NDFU president Robert Carlson said, “it’s exciting to launch another eco-friendly restaurant near our nations capitol. He said, it really gives us great exposure.”

Carlson said, the new restaurant will continue its commitment to using family farm-based ingredients and support producers from North Dakota, Maryland, Virginia and beyond.

Potomac’s Founding Farmers was built using reclaimed and recycled materials, including planks salvaged from shoe shipping crates at the bar, and authentic barn wood.

The 8,000 square foot restaurant will  feature a dining room, mezzanine and bar similar to the look of the original.
