City, N.D. – Area high school students are working to fill the High Liner Activity Center for the annual “Pack The Hac” event in Valley City on November 16.

Co-event coordinator Nicole Sufficool says the support from the community was so good last year that local food pantry was able to help Barnes County families through April when they normally run out of supplies in March.

Students from Barnes County North, Maple Valley, Litchville-Marion-Montpelier, Valley City Junior & Senior High schools, Washington, Jefferson and St Catherine’s schools are all working on the project.

The event is sponsored by Valley City Public Schools, Valley City High School Council, Marketplace Food & Drug, Ingstad Family Media, Valley City Times-Record and Coca-Cola Company.
