FALLS, S.D. (AP) – Fall fuel shortages that typically
occur in the Dakotas during the busy harvest season are causing
even more headaches than usual this year. Officials say it’s a
“supply nightmare” as fuel truck drivers sit in line for hours at
some terminals, waiting for fuel to arrive from a pipeline. Experts
blame the shortage on an earlier South Dakota harvest and demand
from vehicles in the booming oil patch in western North Dakota.
     
    
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) – About 50 people aligning themselves
with the Occupy movement gathered at a busy Grand Forks
intersection yesterday to for a demonstration to call for economic
and social reforms. The group was met by some counter demonstrators
who held a signs telling the protesters to “occupy a job.”
     
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) – No one was hurt yesterday when a fire
broke out at the J.R. Simplot potato processing plant in Grand
Forks. The building was evacuated.
     
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – The two NBA Development League teams in
the Dakotas are ready for the D-League draft. The Dakota Wizards in
Bismarck are holding their draft party tonight. They pick 12th in
the opening round.
