N.D. (AP) – A Lincoln man arrested during a September
incident in which a Burleigh County deputy sheriff died has pleaded
not guilty to several charges. Authorities say Robbie Roberson led
officers on a chase before Deputy Bryan Sleeper died of an apparent
heart attack.
     
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – The University of North Dakota’s president
and athletics director say the school will be better off if it
sheds the Fighting Sioux nickname. Members of the House and Senate
education committees may decide if they want to go along. UND
