N.D. (AP) – North Dakota officials are offering suggestions for alternative routes for TransCanada’s Keystone XL pipeline. The company announced last night that it plans to make changes to the route for the proposed project that will deliver Canadian crude to refineries along the Texas Gulf Coast.
     
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Democratic state lawmakers want Job Service North Dakota to reconsider its decision not to pay unemployment benefits to American Crystal Sugar employees. The union-represented workers have been locked out of their jobs since
August, but workers in Iowa are getting unemployment payments while their counterparts in North Dakota aren’t.

In the past, the grants have been an important source of money for flood recovery, although the state will have to complete for its share of the cash.
