N.D.- The 2012 Dickey County Relay For Life will return to Oakes, and two women will lead the campaign.  Jill Cox and Abrah Dufault have been named co-chairs.

“Being a co-chair is going to give me a chance to learn more about this great organization.” said Cox. “But the biggest thing is, I am doing it as a tribute to my mom Roberta Roney. I was just 4 1/2 years old when she died from this deadly disease in 1980. It’s my hope that everyone comes out and supports this wonderful event, so that other little girls or boys don’t have to lose their mother or other significant people in the lives.”

“Recently, I’ve had four people very close to me diagnosed with breast cancer all within a month.” said Dufault. “I really do believe we can all make a difference. It is an exciting time to have the Relay For Life coming back to Oakes, and I am thrilled to be a part of it.”
