N.D.- The Oakes Community Hospital recently was awarded two grants totaling ,303 to purchase much needed equipment.

The $4,800 Flex Critical Access Hospital Program Development Grant will be used to buy automated external defibrillators to be used for Oakes Public Schools.

The $7,503 Small Rural Hospital Improvement Program grant will be used to buy a patient bed for prevention of pressure ulcers.

So far this year, the Flex Program has given out around $215,000 in grant funds for 20 state critical access hospitals.
