FALLS, S.D. (AP) – A winter blast is headed for southern
North Dakota. The National Weather Service says a fast-moving
system will cross the region tomorrow, with the potential for
nearly half a foot of snow and winds up to 35 mph. The combination
would create hazardous conditions for motorists.     
    
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – A Bismarck hospital says information about
650 patients was on a laptop computer and papers stolen from an
employee’s vehicle. Officials say the theft happened about a month
ago and the laptop has not been recovered. The papers were found
discarded a few days later and did not appear to be disturbed.     
   
WAHPETON, N.D. (AP) – School officials in Wahpeton will meet
with law enforcement officers and others to develop new crisis
management plans. The effort comes after a recent lockdown at the
high school that went awry when a student allegedly threatened to
bring a gun to school.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – This weekend two of North Dakota’s largest
farmer groups are holding state conventions. The North Dakota
Farmers Union will meet in Bismarck and the North Dakota Farm
Bureau will meet in Minot.
