N.D. – Mayor Larry Amundson says an election to double the city’s 1 percent sales tax was rescheduled being the city couldn’t find enough people to work at the polling site due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Amundson says if the measure is approved the money would be to repair the water tower and street lights. Once the project is paid for the sales tax would return to 1 percent.

The election is set for Tuesday, January 17.
