– Barnes County North, LaMoure and Edgeley-Kulm all opened their Class B boys basketball seasons with wins Tuesday night.

LaMoure defeated Carrington 59-44, led by 13 points from Tyler Thielges and 12 points each from Brady Thielges and Zach Stemen.

Barnes County North defeated Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page 42-36 in a low-scoring game. Derek Fletcher scored 12 points for BCN and Jacoby Kramlich added 11.

Edgeley-Kulm got 18 points form Steven Geisler as they opened the season with a 59-42 victory over South Border.

In other action, New Rockford-Sheyenne edged out Pingree-Buchanan-Kensal by a score of 63-57. Mason Haley had 30 points for New Rockford and Nick Blaskowski scored 27 for PBK.
