CITY  (Viking Sports Information)–Four Viking women hit double figures and every player scored as the Valley City State University Vikings beat Presentation College in women’s basketball 79-49.

Junior Katelyn Ralston scored 15 points on 7 of 12 shooting from the floor to pace the Vikings in the road victory. As a team Valley City State shot 50% from the floor and nine of twelve from the free throw line.

A freshman trio followed Ralston in scoring. Stephanie Pedersen scored thirteen and Kelsey Hunter and Sierra Even followed with 12 and 11, respectively, to round out the double digit scorers. Junior Courtney Titus might have played the most well rounded game for the Vikings scoring seven points while grabbing eight rebounds and handing out six assists.

The Viking defense also showed its presence at it limited the Saints offense to only 26% shooting from the floor.

The win improves Valley City State to 5-7 overall on the season. The Vikings return home for a Saturday tip-off versus former NAIA foe University of Sioux Falls. Game time is set for 2:00 pm at the W. E. Osmon Fieldhouse.
