CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–The Barnes County Boys Basketball Tournament starts today at the W. E. Osmon Fieldhouse at Valley City State University.

There will be four games in the opening round.  Defending champion Maple Valley has drawn the top seed in the tournament, and will face Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page in the opening game of the day, scheduled for 3:00 p.m.

The second game of the afternoon will pit fourth-seed Northern Cass against fifth-seed Litchville-Marion-Montpelier.  In the night session, second-seed Valley City faces Barnes County North, and third-seed Griggs County Central battles sixth-seed Enderlin.

The tournament continues Thursday and concludes Saturday, with 3:00 p.m. starts each day.  The entire tournament will be broadcast on Q101 KQDJ-FM.
