– The Jamestown Blue Jay basketball teams are on the road this weekend for a pair of conference doubleheaders.
The Jays head to Minot on Friday night for boys and girls games against the Magicians. Girls start at 6 p.m., followed by the boys at 7:45 p.m. Then on Saturday, the Jays venture to Belcourt where they will take on Turtle Mountain High School in an afternoon doubleheader starting at 2:30 p.m. with the girls varsity game.
The Blue Jay girls (0-2, 0-1 WDA) are in search of their first win of the season this weekend after losses to Fargo Davies and Mandan. Jamestown’s boys (1-1, 1-0 WDA) are coming off a 73-66 win over Mandan on Dec. 9.
Minot’s girls are 1-2 overall and 0-2 in conference play. Turtle Mountain’s girls are 2-1 overall, all conference games, and defeated Minot 70-67 on Tuesday.
Minot’s boys are 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the WDA. Turtle Mountain’s boys are 1-1 overall and in the conference.
All four games this weekend will be broadcast on Classic Hits KQDJ 1400 AM or 97.1 FM with sports director Steve Linzmeier making the call.
