CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–The Hi-Liner basketball seasons continue tonight with an Eastern Dakota Conference (EDC) doubleheader against the Fargo South Bruins.

The games are as big as early seasn games can be, as both the girls and the boys matchup are worth two league points.  The Bruins and Hi-Liners will meet only once this season.

“Two points are big.  The two points we won at West Fargo early last year kept us out of the play-in round,” said Hi-LIner head boys coach Scott Hurlimann.”

The Hi-Liner boys fell to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in league play with an 85-69 loss to Fargo Shanley in Valley City Tuesday night.

The Bruins are 0-2 overall, 0-1 in league play, after a 72-55 loss to Moorhead, MN, and a 71-40 loss at Grand Forks Red River, the second-ranked team in Class “A” basketball this week.

The Hi-Liner girls are 0-1 this season, both overall and in league play.  They dropped their season opener nine days ago at home in a 53-33 loss to West Fargo.

Fargo South is 0-2 overall and 0-1 in league play, losing to Moorhead, MN 68-60 and to Grand Forks Red River 65-48.  

The girls games is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.  The boys will follow, and both games will be heard on KOVC-AM 1490.
