N.D.- The Blue Jay boys hockey team travels to the capitol city on Friday night to battle the WDA favorites, the Century Patriots. Century was tabbed as the team to beat in the West Region this season after they  ran the table in the conference last year, 15-0. The defending champs are off to a fast start at 4-0 in the WDA, and stand 5-1 over-all. Their only loss so far this season is a 2-1 shoot out defeat to Fargo North in the Pat’s season opener back on November 25th.

Jamestown is coming off its first win of the season, last Saturday at Wilson Arena over Williston 4-1, and sit 1-5 over-all. Jamestown has scored 15 goals this season and has given up 25. Junior Forward Jake Stilwell leads the way with 11 points, including seven goals and four assists. Senior Forward Riley Schafer is second on the team in scoring with two goals and three assists. Junior Goalie Tygh Yatskis has started four games and has a goals against average of 3.36, and a save percentage of 91.1.

The Patriots have been dominating so far this season with 32 goals scored and only six allowed. Senior Forward Jacob Dehn has a team high 11 points, with six goals and five assists. Century has rotated a pair of goalies through the first six games, with Junior Ryan Hansen getting the start between the pipe’s three times, and he has allowed only three goals and has a save percentage of 95.8. Senior Devon Butz also has great numbers in his three starts with only three goals allowed and a save percentage of 96.9%.
