– District 5 foes Central Prairie and Litchville-Marion-Montpelier tangled in a boys and girls basketball varsity doubleheader Friday night in Marion, and each school came away with a victory.

In the girls game, LMM earned a 57-43 victory behind 20 points from Tasha Piehl and 18 points from Cassie Fick. Noelle Moser led Central Prairie with 18 points.

In the boys game, Central Prairie came away with a 58-42 victory. Will Staloch poured in 15 points in five 3-points to lead the Firebirds, and Eric Knodel added 14 points in the win. Dylan Thompson led LMM with 16 points in defeat.
