Ann (Hall) Neis, 91, of Edgeley, ND, died Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Eventide at Hi-Acres, Jamestown.

Dorothy was born July 23, 1920, in Edgeley, ND, the daughter of Ralph and Sibyl (Covington) Hall.  She graduated from Edgeley High School and attended North Dakota Agricultural College (NDSU) and Interstate Business College.  In 1943, Dot traveled to California with Vera (Tomlin) Zottnick and managed a Standard Oil station during the war.  She married Walter “Stub” Neis on January 14, 1949.  While raising a family, Dot was the bookkeeper for the Mobil Bulk business, Neis Bus Service and drove school bus until she was in her mid-70’s.  Dot lived in her home until Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012.

Dot loved her wonderful memories of growing up in Edgeley, having her best friend, Vera Zottnick living close by, bowling, her bingo with June (Musland) Kluever, her 3PM coffee with her sister, Ruth, and all of her friends, and most of all her family.  She wanted to spend as much time as possible with her children and grandchildren and always said how lucky she was to have six children.

 She is survived by her six children, Joe (Linda) Neis, Edgeley, Mary (Gene) Hensley, Rapid City, SD, Jean (Jerry) Lukes, Fargo, ND, Jim (Jonella) Neis, Mandan, ND, Sally (Lon) Ost, Nortonville, ND, and Susan (Dan) Tideman, Rice, MN.  Her greatest joys in her life were her 17 grandchildren and spouses: Paul (Ann) Neis, Port Orchard, WA, Amber (Jon) Kilber, Bismarck, ND, Tennille Hensley, Bozeman, MT, Tony (Leigh) Hensley, Rapid City, SD, Jamie (Paula) Anderson and Jeremy (Jesi) Anderson, both of Fargo, Nick Anderson, Eau Claire, WI, Lance Lukes, Valley City, ND, Jason Nies, Justin Neis, Amanda Neis (fiancée, Will Bernhardt), Ashley Neis, all of Mandan, Danielle Tideman, Hoboken, NJ, Alex Tiedman, Minneapolis, MN, Coutney Tideman, Menomonie, WI, Cassie Ost and Tissa Ost, both Nortonville; and her 8 great grandchildren: Tyler Alm, Teigan, Jade, and Jersi Anderson, all of Fargo, Jocelyn and Autumn Kilber, both of Bismarck, William James Bernhardt, III, Mandan, and Hayden Hensley, Rapid City, SD.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Stub” Neis; two sisters and their husbands, Ruth & Dennis Evert and Jean & Bob Hall; her niece, Andy Evert; a grandson, Joshua Neis; and her parents.

Celebration of Life Services: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Wesley United Methodist Church, Edgeley.

Visitation – 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2012 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley.

Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2012 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley.

Interment – Mt, Hope Cemetery, Edgeley.
