In mens play, the Vikings used almost their entire roster, with big contributions from young players.  Malcom McDonald (Fr., Killeen, TX) has his best game to date, scoring 12 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in the win.

John Raquel (Jr., Hawthorne, TX) scored 18 points, hitting 10-11 from the line.  Aaron Duske (So., Buffalo, MN) added 13.

The Viking women fell behind by eight on two separate occasions in halftime, then scored to force overtime, hit a three to lead with 20 seconds to play, but fell to the Jimmies.

Courtney Titus (Jr., Hankinson, ND) hit a three to give the Vikings a 61-60 lead late in overtime, after Katie Ralston (Jr., Dahlen, ND) hit a turn-around in the post with eight-tenths of a second left in regulation to force overtime.

But Bridget Schuneman (Jr., Lino Lakes, MN), the eventual tournament MVP, scored all six Jimmie points in overtime, including a shot with 12 seconds left in overtime for the winning basket.

The Vikings ran a last play after a timeout with 6.6 seconds to go, but Sadiqah Jihad (Fr., Minneapolis, MN) was well defended on a baseline jumper, and came up short.

Ralston and Brittany Lehner (So., Watertown, SD) each added 10 points for the Vikings.  Schuneman scored 17 for the Jimmies.  Carley Jensen (So., White Bear Lake, MN) added 13.

The Viking men improve to 17-6, and the women fall to 13-9.  The women host Dakota State Wednesday, and both teams travel to Dickinson State Saturday.
