(NewsDakota.com)- The District 5 boys basketball tournament was played over the weekend at the Civic Center and four teams have punched their tickets to the Region III tournament next week.

In the region qualifying games PBK took down Litchville-Marion-Montpeiler 49-41 and Central Prairie bounced back after a tough loss to PBK to open the tournament to beat Barnes County North 49-46.

For the second straight year, the LaMoure Loboes are the District 5 Champions after they knocked off Edgeley-Kulm 48-38.

Tyler Thielges lead the Loboes with 22 points including a quartet of three-pointers.

The Region III tournament will start next Monday at the Civic Center.
