CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–The Hi-Liner wrestling team will send 11 wrestlers to the state tournament this weekend in Bismarck.

Valley City scored 141.5 points to finish fourth in the Eastern Dakota Conference individual wrestling tournament this past weekend.  They finished a half-point ahead of Fargo North for the fourth-place position.

The Hi-Liners advanced four wrestlers to the finals, with Brandon Larson winning a title at 195 by fall in the first period.  Brady Beckman finished runner -up in the 220-pound class, and did not wrestle his match in the finals due to injury.

Reed Beckman was a runner-up at 145, losing a 9-6 decision in the finals, and Mark Miller was a runner-up at 126.

Shane Undem was fourth at 138, Noah Kaber was fifth at 195, Jordan Magnuson was sixth at 132, and Steven Horner was sixth at 285.  Everett Komrosky was seventh at 145, Wyatt Bjornson was seventh at 170, and Jackson Lemnus was eighth at 132.

State wrestling will be in Bismarck Thursday through Saturday.
